Title: Workmanship & Purpose
Devotional Lesson: Believing Bigger by Marshawn Daniels
Scripture: Ephesians 2:10 (Cepher)
Noted Words: Masiach – the Annointed Messiah
Yahusha – the Messiah’s name the world changed to Jesus
Elohiym or God – the creator of heaven and earth (Yahuah)
Blog Scripture: For we are his workmanship, created in Masiach Yahusha unto good works, which Elohiym has before ordained that we should walk in them.
Interpretation: We are Yahusha’s workmanship created in him to do good works that God prepared in advance for us to do.
For me, the words “workmanship,” “good works,” “advance,” and “do” stand out. “Workmanship” means that you are a custom creation, there is no one like you. Nobody else has what you have or has been created the way that you were created. You are tailor-made, a one of a kind masterpiece. No one else has your God given fingerprint and God (Yahuah) doesn’t repeat the pattern! You were made because you are a unique expression of Yahuah’s DNA. In a word, that means you have a specific purpose that cannot be completed by anyone else. For that reason, the world needs what you have because you were specifically handcrafted by God for this time.
Do you own your uniqueness or do you struggle to believe you mean something? Understand that gifts on not just singing, acting, and dancing. Gifts can be simply as having common sense and understanding others. God has not made you void of talent. This week, have some inner reflection, what are you good at that most people you know are not? What things do you have an understanding of that would confuse most people you know? These things would be considered gifts and those gifts have a purpose.
Reflection: What are your thoughts on today’s blog affirmation? If you’re struggling to know your purpose or identify your gifts, try meditating on this: Yahuah, let me see myself the way You see me. I’m your custom creation. Thank you for making me unique and necessary. Help me to own my relevance and my uniqueness.
